The exhibition presents art schools located outside the center of cultural, social, or economic events in the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, or rather because of this, these art schools significantly influence the atmosphere and workings of the cities in which they operate, and at the same time the character of those cities is reflected in the atmosphere of these schools. That an art school is located outside the center may be restrictive in some respects, but at the same time this fact brings about a unique character and extraordinary conditions. The exhibition seeks to emphasize that art schools outside the center can boast great results in the form of promising talented graduates, pointing out that art schools offer a full - fledg ed form of higher education.
Capturing the specificity of individual art schools is also included in the division of the exhibition according to the cities in which the schools are located (Brno, Zlín, Ostrava, Opava, Liberec, Ústí nad Labem). The exhibit ion is based on a curatorial selection of diploma theses of the students who completed their studies in 2020. Each "school section" is complemented by the work of a selected teacher who has long been associated with the school and has been a co-creator of the school.
Due to the limitations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the exhibition is open to the public in the form of a virtual model through which it is possible to browse and observe the exhibited works of art. The virtual model also includes several surprises that take the visitors to places where they usually do not get.
